Permit to Drive

11 years ago my mom gave me this  '99 Honda Accord.  My brother and I drove 14 hours up north from New Orleans to what I now called home.  Josh was only 4 and still sitting in a booster seat.  This same car I drove to work and picked/dropped him off of daycare everyday.  Today when he got in the car, according to the speedometer, it only has a bit over 79,300 miles.  Never thought this same car will have my son driving it.

Josh had his permit on Monday.  He begged to let him drive, so we told him if he knows where the spare tire is, then he can drive down the street and back.  It took him a while to figured where it is.  It scared the bajeek out of Calvin when he backed up.  I'm on the side yelling "Watch out for the trash" as Jonas next to me crying because he wanted to be in the car.

Calvin giving Josh the logistic of how to work the car.  I was informed that he will be teaching him to drive because my impatients will drive Josh crazy.

Jonas patrolling the neighborhood as the man mows the lawn.

He is totally a boy. His pants is filthy dirty.

April 20 Turning a Year Older

On this day I turned a year older.  It was a nice relaxing day.  "I" cooked steak and mash potatoes for my family for dinner.  My kind co-worker brought in cookies and donuts, and shipped to my door some nice fresh flowers from my in-laws.

A beautiful card from my dear husband.

How I dress

This is how he dressed and walked into the birthday party. He presented himself very well.

Trampoline Fun

Burning off some energy before dinner. They had so much fun just jumping on the trampoline.

Poor nose all scratched up after going on the trampoline.

Ride ons

Yes, these are my boys, and they are like this 24 hours.  Here the lil one says "Talk to the hands!"

Um...no words.

Since big brother doesn't have a license to drive, lil. J. have to give him a ride on his Gator Tractor.

Easter

Dressed in style and ready for Easter egg hunt.  Hat, messenger bag, and pants made by me.

Easter bunny came to the house bringing lots of eggs!

DIY Laundry Detergent

After doing some researched, I decided to make my own laundry detergents.  A friend of mine gave me 2 Zote bar soaps, so figured I give it a try.  Since I don't need a big batch, I used the recipe from The Family Homestead.  For bigger batch The Duggars Laundry Recipe has the same ingredients, but different amounts.  So far, it seems like it is washing the clothes just as good as the store's detergents.  We have front loader washer, and no suds so far.

Turning 15

On March 22, 15 years ago, I had the most wonderful gift of all.  A beautiful healthy baby boy.  I love this kid.  I can't believe he is 15 years old.  He is getting his permit soon, which is a scary knowing he will be behind the wheels soon.

We went to Grand Bear Lodge for his birthday weekend getaway.  They are holding alligator's tails.  He and his friend were born 3 days apart.

And since he hates to take pictures and hanging out with us is so not cool, there weren't many of his pictures.

Monday fever

On Sunday J. had a fever of 102.5.  He stayed home on Monday and had the fever again.  He doesn't look sick.

First Bowling

I've been really bad at updating my blogs.  I'm going to play catch up.  Last month we took J. to bowling for the first time.  He was super excited and had a blast.  Instead of rolling the ball, he threw the ball.  Calvin had to sit by him to make sure he bowls correctly and not break their floor.  He used the Shrek bowling ball that is from his older brother when he was in a bowling league.  He bowled 3 games!
